POSTCULTURE X SINEAD CAMPBELL
" INDIGO "
OUT NOW: DIGITAL RELEASE OF THE FIRST COLLABORATION FROM TWO OF WEST YORKSHIRE'S "HOTTEST UPCOMING TALENTS" press
"POSTCULTURE are definitely some of the up-and-coming musicians you should be looking out for on the developing Northern music scene. Aside from their musical intellect they're also genuine and really great people to work with and get to know on an artistic level. If you haven't had the opportunity to see or hear a live performance from the trio then I highly recommend doing so!" "Sinead Campbell stole the audiences heart at MelaninFest with the powerful tones of her voice. Her upbeat energy lit the room and she took the audience into a realm of magic, delight and wonder." "A new and innovative sound. Postculture are one of the tightest bands we've heard in a long while. They're a name to watch out for!" |
who
POSTCULTURE are a Holmfirth based trio featuring Tom (guitars-electronics), Matt (bass-dancing) & Jonny (drums). Collaborating with various upcoming Yorkshire based singer-songwriters they have self-released an album and EP to date. Encompassing electronic dance through funk rock - with a strong pop sensability - their sound is unique and with the aid of guest vocalists, cross-polinates genre. Residencies in Huddersfield and Wakefield have garnered an enthusiastic local following and they've received substantial airplay through Alan Raw (BBC Introducing WY).
Yorkshire Entertainment Awards Best Female Artist finalist, SINEAD CAMPBELL is by far Bradford's finest vocal talent to emerge in the last ten years. Her soulful voice, artistic flare and fearless feminity have made a strong impact with audiences. Debut EP "ROSES" was announced with a headline show at Leeds' Headrow House in early 2018, since which she has continued to build grassroots support with secret intimate unplugged shows across Yorkshire. Authenticity, spirtuality and vibrant positivity make Sinead the singer-songwriter to look out for in 2019.
INDIGO is Postculture x Sinead Campbell's first collaboration. Meeting on the bill at a Sheffield Black Music Matters gig in 2017, they soon got together for a writing session. Two collaborations were shortly completed. Indigo, the first of these, was previewed live in Leeds, March 2018, to positive audience response. Recording the song this summer, Postculture and Sinead are thrilled to give a first glimpse of their fresh sound to a wider audience. "It can take a long time from the point of creation for a finished product to be released," explains Tom. "The fact this tune came together so quickly is testament both to Sinead's work ethic and the excitement we all felt writing, arranging and recording it. The track's been going down really well live, we're all hoping that translates to a wider audience with the upcoming digital release!" INDIGO (written by Postculture & Sinead Campbell, mixed by Reuben Duckering, mastered by Chris Pavey) is streaming from all major platforms now.
